The "View in External Browser" option signals the program to send your html file to a predefined external browser. The current version of SiteAid only allows Netscape to be configured for this feature. This button does not require that you have the file saved prior to viewing your file, but files viewed with the external browser must be reloaded by using the view in external browser button, because of the way SiteAid views temporary files. This in no way inhibits the ability to browse the file with any potential browser using typical save and view methods, viewing the saved version of the file. SiteAid requires that you have the images shown in the html document, visible in the file listing at the left of the edit windows, unless the images are called out explicitly (i.e. "file:///C|\images\image.gif"). To find out more about the defining the path for the external browser, please see Options/Settings.

The "View Help Window" option is the same as clicking on the tab above the edit window named Help. This will bring the Help Files to the window and allows you to view first hand the function in question. The Help functionality requires that you either a) Be connected to the internet or b) Have your settings made such that you are previewing your files from your computer's hard drive. For more information on these settings look at the Help start page or the entry describing the "Option/Settings..." section of the help files.
