Settings...
The "Settings" option calls the settings form. On the settings form you will find three tabs:

The general tab will show you the following panel:

Settings/General form

The Internal Browser Availability radio buttons allows the user to select two options:

Auto-detect - This setting searches the users computer system for Internet Explorer. If found, the Internal Browser will be displayed. If not found, NO Internal Browser will be displayed and the Title Bar Caption will be SiteAid 1.2 nb.

Disabled - This setting turns off the Internal Browser and sets the Title Bar Caption to SiteAid 1.2 nb.

The checkbox at the bottom of the form acts to shut off the reminder message you get when you Browse your file in the built-in browser. The object of this message is to let you know that the images for a particular page must be visible in the file listing box to the left of the edit area. They can be filtered off, but must be in the folder that is being displayed.

The External Browser tab will show you the following panel:

Settings/External Browser form

As shown above, the Launching Browser setting is set to the "Browse using a temporary copy" option. This is the only option available at this time. The other section of the form allows you to set the path to Netscape for external browsing. Currently, Netscape is the only compatible browser for this setting. We hope to implement further browser compatibility in future releases of SiteAid.

The Help Files tab will show you the following panel:

Settings/Help File form

The Help Files tab is new in version 1.1 of SiteAid. With this option, you can make the choice to either browse the files while connected to the internet, or download the entire help file collection and browse the files from your own hard drive. If you choose the latter, you will need to define the path to the file "general.html" explicitly, as shown in the example.

Editor Appearance...
The "Editor Appearance..." option will bring up the following options that control the appearance of your code in the edit windows:

Editor Appearance Menu

From the above menu you can make the selection of System Default Font, which is MS Sans Serif, with a size of 8.0. For most, this setting will suffice. If you would like to customize the text font, height, italics state or bold state, you should select the User Defined Font. This will bring up the following dialog window allowing you access to any font resident on your system. You may select and modify this setting at any time. A check mark will be placed beside the setting that is currently being used.
